Here we go again!

We have been posting every week, even though the dates on the posts say otherwise. We did not post this Friday due to exams. They're only a week away and studying is the number 1 priority. So we're going to do 2 posts this week. One post today and one post on Friday. So keep checking out the blog for "Fitness Tips From Nina Dobrev" and "What to Wear Shopping".

CUTE IDEAS ON WHAT TO WEAR ON A DATE (in spring)!

Choosing an outfit for a date is no picnic so we are here to offer our help. I've come up with a few ideas for spring which are super pretty and won't empty out your wallet. Bring on the compliments!

You don't want to be too dressy on a first date (unless you're going to the Oscars or something along the lines of that). Sometimes jeans can be your best bet. So grab those jeans out of your closet. Right now for spring, white or light wash jeans are insanely popular. For jeans American Eagle is my go to place because they have quite a big selection and are incredibly comfortable, albeit expensive. If you are planning on rocking pants I suggest pairing them up with a lace shirt. Check out some of my jean and lace finds under $40.

Eden Top from Abercrombie and Fitch, High-Waisted Lace shorts from Forever 21, Contrast Lace Romper from Forever 21.

If your not a lace person metallic colours are a great option. Again, you don't want to go over the top so one metallic item will probably be enough. I would suggest a dark metallic colour. Check out some of my metallic finds under $40.

Lastly, if neither of the others are your cup of tea, I suggest wearing some sort of patterned t-shirt or romper. Check out some of my finds under $15.

Fall Colours!

So now that it's autumn (and almost winter) we thought we'd do a little special on fall and what styles and colours look amazing this time of year.
Example of a henley
  • Plaid jackets: hooded, preferably with fur or fleece lining. Red, beige, yellow/black mix (like a cute bumblebee), maybe blue and green.
  • Really light or really dark skinny jeans.
  • Knitted or crocheted mittens for the colder days.
  • Leather or suede gloves just to keep away the chill.
  • If you're not a jeans person, try thick leggings or yoga pants, maybe with boots and a long jacket.
  • Plaid doesn't have to be limited to jackets: plaid shirts in all colours look great. Leave them open over a tank top in a neutral colour of your choice.
  • Turtlenecks (or just any long-sleeved shirt) can be worn under a thick or padded vest. Try making the shirt lighter than the vest. If you don't like turtlenecks (seeing as quite a few people don't), the henley is another great option if you want to keep your arms warm!
Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps you while choosing your fall wardrobe!
