Ways to Wear a Leather Jacket (celeb inspired)

I've been recently gushing about leather jackets, although it's summer. Many celebs have been sporting the jackets but the looks are different depending on how they're worn. This is a great choice for those breezy summer evenings when you and your buds are hitting the movie theater to watch the newest film. Here are some of my favorite ways to wear a leather jacket:

Look #1:
I am in love with the show The Vampire Diaries and Katherine is my favorite character partly because of here amazing since of style. Her signature look, however, is a leather jacket over a plain solid colour t-shirt (with a scoop neck) which has little to no detail. This makes the look very simple and casual.

(Hint: Curled hair and cat eyes give it a mysterious look.)

Look #2:
This look is also from the show Vampire Diaries. The character Caroline is extremely girly. Exchange the signature black leather jacket with a green jacket that makes the outfit more fun and out there. You don't want to go over board with a detailed top but it doesn't hurt to have a soft pattern on your shirt or tank, especially one that complements your jacket colour. Pair this with skinny jeans and a trendy pair of boots and the look is flawless.

(Hint: The short jacket will make you look taller and emphasize your awesome curves.)

Look #3:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Leather and plaid complement each other perfectly. I absolutely love Emma Watson's dress and the jacket is the kind of touch that puts it over the top. If you are planing to incorporate plaid in your outfit I suggest to not go wild with a lot of colour because it can make it look a little messy. Stick with a classic plaid, one base tone without many colour variations. Your school might have uniforms and some of the uniforms include plaid skirts so there's your loop hole to being stylish!                                                                      (Hint: Put on a confident smile and you'll look amazing, I promise)

Look #4:
Light pink dress + Black leather jacket = amazingly pretty outfit! Throw on some pink lip gloss and cute pumps and you're off to the red carpet (but any special occasion would suf fice). Bring a clutch that complements the jacket (I suggest not picking a detailed clutch). Curling your hair or straightening may be too much but this is the chance to try out some soft waves. With this style, take care not to go overboard or it might look really forced.
